Mr. Finlayson is a partner of the firm. Mr. Finlayson practices as a civil litigator with an emphasis on insurance matters. He has been counsel in construction litigation, real estate disputes and personal injury cases, as well as various types of tort claims. He has appeared as counsel in all levels of courts in Manitoba, before the Securities Commission, the Labour Board, the Workers Compensation Board, and arbitration panels. He has also litigated cases in Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan. He has frequently represented clients at mediations.
Mr. Finlayson regularly lectures on, and participates in seminars and presentations related to his areas of practice. He is author of a Law Society paper on unjust enrichment and miscellaneous law-related book reviews. He has served on committees of The Law Society of Manitoba.
He is married with three children. He is an avid reader, cyclist and cross-country skier.
