As a partner, Ms. Hatch practises primarily in the areas of wills and estate litigation and family law. Other areas of practice include real estate and civil litigation. She has appeared in all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
Ms. Hatch's professional responsibilities included Course Head of the Wills & Estates Bar Admission Course for The Law Society of Manitoba, seminar leader for the Ethics & Professional Responsibility segment of the Bar Admission Course, and Life Member of the Manitoba Bar Association Council. She served on numerous committees established to review estate and family law legislation, amendments and policies while on the executive and as a member of the Manitoba Bar Association Family Law Section. Ms. Hatch presented papers at the Pitblado Lectures for the Law Society of Manitoba and the Manitoba Bar Association Mid-Winter Meetings, and lectured at the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg. Having studied mediation outside Manitoba, she taught training courses in this area and does both mediation and collaborative law.
Ms. Hatch has authored papers on Wills and Estates for the Law Society of Manitoba, Seniors Today, the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, and The Victoria General Hospital Foundation and is the co-author of a book on Legal and Financial Issues published by the Alzheimer Society.
Ms. Hatch is a member of St. Charles Country Club.
